They were called Laughing Sam's Dice. I don't have any mp3s. I had a demo tape at one time, but may've lost it. Maggie eventually left the band because one of the other members was acting like a ...well, member. I'm not sure if she continued her musical endeavors, or decided to focus more on school after that.

No one else got the mp3? I reckon it's still on my old hard drive that hasn't been connected to anything four five years. I've got loads of old StP stuff on that. I really should do something about that.

I had e-mail contact with Maggie in '04. She was about to finish her 4th and final year at University and had taken Radio and Television Arts. As part of a "giant practicum" (final project, I assume), she and her group were doing a promotional dvd for Toronto record label Three Gut Records, an apparently well-known outfit whose flagship band, The Constantines, had been nominated for a Juno. She'd also been going through a rough patch in her personal life. I trust, however, she's making it and doing well.

Oh...uh, hi y'all. Long time no see. I'm in school again, this time attending East Carolina U. I hate it, it depresses me, even though I'm doing well and get along swell with my instructors. I'll be stuck there for a while, it seems, although thanks to my time at Pitt Community College most of my classes transferred so I'm recognized as a junior at ECU. Everybody walks around with cell phones stuck to their heads or in front of their faces. It's ugly.
